What I did:
Narrative Document
Our team for this game jam had three writers, one composer, and one artist. One of our writers focused on editing while myself and the last writer focused on building the story and dialogue. Therefore, it was important that our shared narrative document was organized and detailed so we’d all be on the same page.
In order to work simultaneously, we divided up our writing work. After collaborating on outlining the story into sequences, which is a method I borrowed from screenwriting, we assigned those sequences amongst ourselves based on both workload and preference.
Script
While our other main writer was more experienced with traditional prose, I alternatively focused on dialogue. Our pipeline became that I would write the skeleton of the scene with basic action description and its dialogue before passing it onto our other writer to develop more elaborate prose since our game was a visual novel. We would then pass the scene off to our editor who would make notes and edits before we’d all meet and discuss our thoughts and any revisions we had thoughts on.

Result
We managed to complete the entire game within 3 days within the visual novel engine Arcweave which we all learned to use during development.
